I am so lucky! God must have been on my side to protect me... Syukur Alhamdulillah...
I was riding from wrk after nite shift to Ikea Tampines to meet mum n dad. Instead of heading straight to Ikea, i stopped at my area to pump my petrol. I sensed sumthing is not right with SparQiesya when i tried to move off from the petrol kiosk. Gear shifting was so difficult. It got stucked at gear 1 meaning to say that i cant get on to gear 2 after moving off. So, you know right, how slow it is at gear one?? And the engine sounds so irritating if you hold on to gear 1 all the way... I need to really pushed up the gear lever in order to get on the gear 2. As for the rest of the gears, it's fine. My leg(toe) hurts alot!! There was once my engine stall in the middle of traffic light! OMG! was so embarrassing! I was thinking if i shud continue my journey to Ikea... 50/50...Thinking that my parents had come all the way from Geylang Serai to Ikea just to accompany me to buy my stuff there, i went on riding slowly. Tawakal je lah...
Before entering TPE, the light went RED. I had to stop. I was praying n hoping that i can manage to shift up to gear 2. Time to move off... I turned more throttle in order to have more speed and there it goes, it got stucked again... I was in the midst of entering the TPE! Just imagine how i felt! GABRA! KANCHIONG SPIDER!!! with a lorry behind me!
"SPARQIESYA!!! JGN LAH BUAT PRANGAI!! TOLONG LAH!!!"
Berkat selawat and some prayers, i managed to shift it up. I remained on the 4th lane till end of expressway. Fuh! Only God knows how i felt... Dap! Dup! Dap! Dup! I reached Ikea safely. I texted Fiance and informed him of wat happened. He came down to Tampines all the way to check on my bike. Mum went back home with dad after buying my stuffs.
Fiance tested the bike and he also think sumthing is not right. He had to take out the front cover set. Dah mcm workshop kat situ...
And guess wat we discovered?? One of the clutch cable wire snapped and left only one or 2 wires handling the clutch lever!!! If i were to just ignore it, i think, danger will be awaiting for me out there...No solution. We need to bring SparQiesya to the workshop. I had to ride with extreme care with fiance escorting behind me just in case anything if happens. Those leftover cables can snap anytime due to wear n tear. Both of us were so worried! Nasib baik Ikea ngn Sengkang dekat.Fiance parked his bike at my place and brought my bike to workshop at AMK.
Now, my bike looks mcm baru gitu with a new clutch lever. It's RED n better now! hehe... It cost $70 to change both cable n lever... haiz... duit lagik.. Poor Fiance... Thank you dear for your sacrifices
So ppl who rides out there, pls check n makesure everything is ok. When u sense sumthing is not right, quickly bring to the workshop or ask the experts.
